ABOUT AMERICA’S FREEDOM FEST FEATURING ROTORS ‘N RIBS

What is America’s Freedom Fest?

America’s Freedom Fest is one the Midwest’s premier air shows, with a heritage and tradition dating back decades. The event draws more than 30,000 people from around northern Indiana and beyond, and features daring aerial acts, fascinating static displays, mouthwatering food, a legendary fireworks display, and much more.

What is Rotors ‘n Ribs?

Rotors ‘n Ribs is a helicopter fly-in hosted by Sweet Helicopters. This year it is on the same day of America’s Freedom Fest and includes VIP passes that offer not only a premier view of the air show but also a delicious barbecue meal, a helicopter-related safety seminar, and a variety of networking opportunities. Pilots who fly into the event, along with their guests, and along with anyone who attends the town hall meeting will receive complimentary VIP air show passes!

Several of the helicopters in attendance at Rotors 'n Ribs 2019 made a spectacular display in the foreground of the air show action.
A thrilling addition to America’s Freedom Fest was the head-to-head between a Porsche 918 and Agusta 109.
Stan Rose of Helicopter Safety Alliance gives a rousing speech, explaining, in his own words, "how to crash a helicopter," with helpful insights gleaned from years of flying military and civilian helicopters.
